YOUR FIRST WEEK – (Love is patient, love is kind – 1 Cor. 13:4)

Most horses really need time and patience as they settle into their new home. Keep in mind that their lives have changed drastically- their environment, friends, feed, schedule, and rider has changed. Some horses adapt quickly, and some don’t. Be diligent and on the lookout for ulcers, and remember that patience is key right now. Spend time getting to know each other, and build trust on the ground and in the barn!
Here is what you’ll need the first week or so: (most of the time, there will not be any issues, but it always helps to be prepared!)
